Calgary’s Stampede LRT Station Redesign and 17th Avenue Extension

Construction has begun on the $60 million Victoria Park/Stampede LRT station redesign and 17 Avenue SE extension. The reconstructed station will improve accessibility with a new street-level accessed LRT platform. The 17^th Avenue SE extension will provide critical east-west connectivity into Stampede Park from the 17^th Avenue Main Street.

Bunt & Associates was involved with due diligence and traffic/pedestrian simulations related to the 17^th Avenue extension and its impacts on Macleod Trail and the surrounding environment. These infrastructure items are key components of the Rivers District Master Plan (RDMP) prepared by CMLC with transportation engineering & planning support from Bunt & Associates.
