UBC Transit Facility Field Test a Success

Bunt & Associates recently helped to prepare for a full-scale field test of the design of the new University of British Columbia (UBC) Bus Exchange. Bunt has been involved for nearly two years in developing the design concept for this important piece of regional infrastructure. The successful test verified the design for what will be one of TransLink’s most well used facilities. With 30 bus bays on the site, coordinating the field test of the 200m x 170m facility proved to be a considerable challenge, but ultimately the test allowed confirmation of the design and verification of the turning track software used. The design is now proceeding to the detailed design phase.
